Spring is in the Air!
I don’t think I need to remind you how much I hate winter… but if I do, check this out as a refresher on my whiney feelings about this evil death season. Every year it seems to last longer than the one before it, regardless of what the scientists and ‘experts’ say about climate change all that stuff. Maybe it’s because I’m getting grumpier in my old age, but even the fond memories I had as a wee lass enjoying a good frolic in the snow seems to be replaced by a seasonal scowl. Just because I’m Canadian doesn’t mean I have to like the snow! Oh wait, it does?…

Translating Douchey Travel Cliches
Every interest and hobby has its own set of terms and jargon that can be a bit confusing to those who aren’t privy to the hidden meaning. Then there are those expressions that people use to explain their actions or reasons for travelling that have become stock phrases as lame as sports analogies. Why Can’t Christmas be in February?
Every year Christmas comes and goes and I always say the same thing – why does it have to be in December? Whose bright idea was it to put the end of the calendar year and the most demanding social holiday within a week of each other? I should get that guy’s (or girl’s – we can’t be sexist!) number and give him/her a piece of my mind for really messing it up when it came to spacing out important events. How are you supposed to cram everything in you want to in such a short period of time? Seeing everyone and buying everything to the point of…

Winter = Cold and Grumpy Annie
Tis the season to be grumpy Blah-lah-lah-lah-lah Blah Blah Blah Blah As you may or may not be able to tell, I’m not the biggest fan of the cold… which is kind of a problem when you consider I live in Canada. Christmas is fabulous, New Years is, well, it’s hit or miss for me – it’s just the rest of the season that makes me want to crawl into bed and never get out of that sweet delicious warmth. For those of you who live in a warm and sunny climate, you probably have no idea what I’m talking about. There’s this weird thing that happens…
