Sort of a Pattern

His fingers
pluck at my insides.
His tattoos
chronicle
the depth of his suffering.
I’ve fallen again.

2011 November PAD CHAPBOOK CHALLENGE: Day 3

Empty Room

Who am I

within the silence?

Forgotten

and afraid,

slipping into spaces that

no longer exist.

Say Goodbye

Even now,

as I write these words,

I’m not here

anymore.

It’s time for you to let go

and just say goodbye.

Anywhere~Postcard #6

When she says

‘anywhere but here,”

each word cracks.

Finally,

silencing the old voices

that always said “no”.

Escape~Postcard #5

To escape  -

One thought keeps slipping

in and out

of my mind.

To simply disappear here.

Bright Lights – Shooting Stars.

Still Lovely~ Postcard #4

The whispers

of insomnia

cluttered and

distorted-

It’s nothing more , nothing less

than a sleepless night.
